Through USG Professionals you have access to professional news, career tips, blog posts on topical and practice-oriented topics written by professionals and competitions in which you can win surprising gifts.

What does USG Professionals membership include?

All member of USG Professionals have access to our articles, blog posts and the articles published on our website.

How can I register?

Signing up for USG Professionals is very easy and can be done free of chargevia this link.  All we need is your name, email address, password and professional status. We need this information to give you access to your account and to offer you tailored articles, tools & blog posts.

How can I activate my account?

After registering at USG Professionals, you must then activate your account for security reasons. After registration, an email with a verification link will automatically be sent to the email address you provided. If you have not received this email please check your spam folder first. Can’t find the email? Contact us!

Who writes the articles and blog posts that appear on the USG Professionals website?

Most of the articles, tools and blog posts on our website are produced by freelancers and employees in the USG Professionals network. We also rely on a number of carefully selected freelance copywriters and bloggers. If you have a question about a specific article or a suggestion for an article, please feel free to contact us.

Where can I find an overview of the training courses and events on offer?

You will find an overview of all training programmes in the main menu underTraining Courses & events. Tip: You can search for a course during a particular period by using the filter on the left side!

How can I sign up for a training course or event?

To sign up for a course or event, go to the overview page of allTraining Courses & Events. Then choose your event and click ‘Sign up’. If you have sufficient credits available, you will only need to confirm your registration. After that you’ll receive an email confirming your registration. Any events you have registered for will also always be shown on your profile. If you don’t have any credits available, we will first ask you to buy some via our webshop.

What is the cost of a training course?

The price of a course will always be shown next to the course itself.

What is a study credit?

A study credit is a credit which you can use to follow a course or attend a networking event. USG Professionals offers you a wide range of training courses to keep up to date with the latest trends. You can use study credits yourself but you can also donate them to a colleague. After purchasing a credit, you have one year to use/donate it.

Where can I find an overview of my available credits?

You can always find an overview of your available credits on your profile underCredits.

How can I donate a study credit?

After purchasing credits, they will be available under Credits on your profile. Click on the icon next to the credit you want to donate. Here you have the option of using the credit or donating it to someone else. You will see a pop-up where you can enter the person’s email address and a personal message. Then click on ‘Donate’ and your credit will be sent to the person of your choice. Warning! You can activate or donate this credit up to a maximum of one year after purchase.

What are the payment options at USG Professionals?

At USG Professionals you can pay by: bank transfer (invoice), Bancontact, credit card, SOFORT banking, Belfius Direct Net, KBC Online Payment, and other cards that are clearly and unambiguously mentioned on the Mollie website.

Where can I find my purchase history?

You will find a history of your purchases at USG Professionals underCreditson your profile.

Where can I consult my invoice?

If you have purchased products or services from a company, your invoice will be sent by post. If you would like to receive a digital copy, please contact us.

Working as a freelancer at USG Professionals

What kind of jobs can I expect?

USG Professionals offers jobs in six specialised fields: Engineering, science, IT, finance, legal and HR. These jobs can vary in terms of duration (on average, 3 months to 1 year), and in terms of job type: full-time or part-time. The need for a freelancer can be part of a project, for example, the implementation of a new system, the replacement of a long-term absent employee, a temporary extra workload, pending permanent recruitment, etc. Our freelancer jobs are aimed at both mid-career professionals and C-level professionals.

Which customers does USG Professionals work with?

USG Professionals works with a wide range of customers: from local SMEs to large multinational companies. Every financially sound customer can submit a request to USG Professionals and will be provided with tailored service.

In which sectors is USG Professionals active?

By definition, USG Professionals serves all sectors. Over the years, however, it has become clear that strength and volume at USG Professionals are concentrated in the following sectors: Pharma, Public, Banking & Insurance and SMEs.

What is the average payment term for invoices?

The average payment term of invoices for freelancers is 30 days after the invoice date. 

Are networking events or workshops organised?

USG Professionals organises regular training courses, workshops and networking events within the six specialised fields: Engineering, Science, IT, Finance, Legal and HR.

Which procedure do I have to follow as a candidate?

As a potential candidate for our customer, you will first be contacted by a recruiter from USG Professionals. If it turns out that after the first telephone screening you may be eligible for our job request, you will then also be invited to an extensive interview with the recruiter, in which both your technical knowledge and your generic competencies will be assessed. Depending on our customer’s requirements, you may also have to take a few tests. As soon as the recruiter has summarised all data in a candidate profile, it is sent to the customer, after which the selection process of the customer is started.

What is the Masterclass?

The USG Professionals Masterclass is the perfect way to kick-start your career. For a week you will be immersed in a pool of knowledge through numerous training courses and workshops, our own experts will gladly share their experiences with you and all this together with a group of fellow enthusiasts. Various fun group activities will of course also be included. In short, we’ll take you on an intensive journey of discovery at an inspiring location, which will both captivate and challenge you!

Which courses are provided?

We will provide you with a mix of theory, practical tips and insight into your own personality and how to operate as a professional in teams and organisations. This could take the form, for example, of a course in practical project management and time management, but could also involve more immediately applicable skills such as presentation techniques and job application training. We also like to stimulate our students with various body & mind activities.

What happens after the Masterclass?

After this week you will be ready for the real work. We look for a suitable project for you with one of our customers where you can test your experience in practice. Under the supervision of a personal coach, we will build on your professional development through the combination of project experience and regular training courses.

What is a job alert and how do I set up a job alert?

A job alert is an automatic search query that sends the latest vacancies based on your wishes and requirements directly to your inbox. Set up your job alert now to ensure you don’t miss any jobs! To set up a job alert, go to Job alerts underJobsin your profile. After this, you can set your criteria to receive job alerts, daily, weekly, or never.

How do I disable a job alert?

To disable a job alert, go to ‘Job alerts’ underJobsin your profile. Click on the trash icon and confirm that you want to delete the job alert. Warning! The job alert will now be permanently deleted. If you only want to disable it for a certain period, you can adjust it by clicking on the pencil icon and setting the frequency to ‘never’.
